Uninstall a Program on Windows 11

A normal removal workflow using Windows Settings first and a leftover review only when needed.

A normal vendor uninstall is usually the safest starting point because it understands the application’s own services, drivers, and shared components. Additional scanning is a review stage, not permission to delete every matching result automatically.

Remove an installed program from Windows 11

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
  2. Find the exact application; note the publisher and installed location if shown.
  3. Use the three-dot menu → Uninstall and follow the publisher’s removal wizard.
  4. Restart if requested. Confirm the app no longer appears in Installed apps.
  5. If an entry remains, check whether it is a second edition, another user installation or a failed uninstall before attempting any cleanup.

What a leftover scan should and should not do

A scan can list related files or settings for review; it cannot prove that every matching item is disposable. Keep saved projects, user profiles and shared runtimes. For a damaged uninstall, see Uninstaller Will Not Open.
